Robbie_Turner
Well in Havanatopia's absence for some reason, I'll take the opportunity to start my first ever match day thread ! After winning yet indifferent performances against Telford and Cov we take on Crawley today. I'm hoping for 3 points first and foremost, but a good display as well as the points would be welcome. I' gonna go for 3-1 City , Agard, Wilbs and Freeman with Marv replying for Crawley COYR !!!!
Aizoon
Horace is back from looking after my niece in Southmead Hospital, and he says 3-1. Who am I to argue with such a helpful insectivore? PS H asks if he can eat the creepy crawly after the game - what do people think?

Kid in the Riot
Crawley will come for a 0-0 so a fast start is a must. Get an early goal or two and we'll win comfortably. The longer the game goes on at 0-0 the tougher it'll be. Fully expecting a City win.
Major Isewater
There are no easy games ,respect for the opposition blah blah blah Hammer they creepy buggers ,City to put on an attacking performance of pace ,power and intent . that our rivals be afraid ,very afraid ,We are City ,we are on a mission. Spot on...an early goal or two and we could go on to win 4 or 5 today, but the longer is stays 0-0 the higher the risk of Crawley sneaking a surprise result. The longer the game goes on at 0-0 the tougher it'll be. Fully expecting a City win. Agreed, and I am pretty much expecting this to be the pattern over the next month or two. Not so much coming for a 0-0, but getting everyone behind the ball, and hoping for something from a break or a set piece. Even Preston set up that way, although fully expect they will be better than most others at it. As is said, the two things we can do with most over the next few games in my mind is early goals, followed by patience.
Aizoon
Or, perhaps more important, patience after no early goals.
OldlandReddies
After predicting city would hit 5 against Port Vale the other season I predict City will run riot and get 6 today with Agard getting 4 (2 pens). Marv will be booed off after seeing red for taking out Freeman and Smith all game. The teams below us will all draw. Job done.
cityexile
Or, perhaps more important, patience after no early goals. ...what I meant to say really. This one is going to be as important for the fans as the players, if it's still 0-0 after 60 in some of our games coming up.

...
Forgot to say, but I have a feeling our forward line is going to get 'onion-bag fever' today. I can see Agard and Wilbraham both scoring at least one each today, plus one more goal - so that's at least 3. City to stay top, with the other double header games today. Yes. samo II
As mentioned; fast start, please. Let's go out and remind ourselves as much as anyone quite how good we can be if we put out kind to it. Could end up a key game this, as with MK and Preston going head to head, we could establish a useful gap again heading into the Christmas rush. And hope Matt Smith maybe gets a bit of time towards the end and ends up one of those loan strikers who makes a real positive impact.

cityexile
Maybe wilbs is injured ? We will miss him but at least is not a top of the table clash todayCrawley have been hard to beat recently, becoming draw specialists, so we should take nothing for granted. Cannot believe he us being rested by choice, so maybe a slight knock. Disappointing none the less, would much rather he had a rest in one of the last two games.
