old_eastender
If, and based on recent showings it's a blinking big IF, we actually stick away an early chance or two, reckon we could be looking at a big win. If we are not in front by HT then expect a nervy game which could finish either way.
P'head Red
First game that we will score more than three, going for 4-1.
pride of the west
Yeovil will have their eyes on man u surely. I cant see them making it into a blood and guts derby game. If we come out all guns blazing we have to get an early goal. If we do that there will only be one winner
Marina's Rolls Royce
Bryan , Elliott and Williams all out so SC has some tough line up choices - whilst strikers not striking! Confidence not as great in the team as when you take out the cup wins we've lost 3 from 5 0-0 or 1-1. GJ will be well up for this one. It would be great to give them a thumping but can't see it personally. Bah, humbug.
RedM
I'm going 2-2. Tense niggly game, plenty of controversy, dont want another dull and boring unless we end up with all 3 points! Gary will be up for it and giving his players the incentive of playing against ManU. Not so long ago it didn't look possible he would still be there for this game. Think the ManU draw has saved him. We will want to stay top though and Ayling will want to shine against his old club, not that he left in bad circumstances. Same with Moloney. Big crowd and going into the transfer window, Cotterill will want us to still be up there and attractive.

With Williams' awful form recently his absence could be seen as a blessing in disguise and Elliot hasn't looked up to speed after his suspension. The big problem though is numbers and with Reid, El Abd and Burns out on loan we would only have 17 players available. In fact if the virus which affected the team at Crewe has continued to take hold in the squad there could be other unforseen absentees and a few very unfamiliar names on the bench. Yeovil are obviously a poor team though and providing we've got enough fully fit players to put a strong side on the pitch you'd have to think a 2 goal winning margin shouldn't be beyond us. The only one of those I'd be happy to see on the bench is Reid although if played in his best position, Burns would get my vote over the so far ineffectual Matt Smith. Bryan has been as useful as Albert most of the season albeit at different levels. Noggers- you've supported City longer than me so you know how we just have a habit of making things difficult for ourselves whilst at the same time doing well overall. Williams has been in poor form and let himself down badly by being sent off although that was NOT the reason we lost the game. We are more than capable of playing this current Yeovil team off the pitch but it's times like this ( and Crewe) that there seems to be more banana skin than pitch. Red white and red
Agree with the 0-0, Yeovil will stick 11 men behind the ball and frustrate us. One shot all afternoon which flies into halfords.

cidered abroad
Just look at Yeovil's away record of won 4 and drawn 1 and lost 5. They clearly sit deep and hit on the break. The clever teams break them down and they lose. If we hit them with a goal early on we will win easily as they cannot continue with mass defence. As always in modern football, the first goal and when it is scored, is absolutely essential. Sadly we have gone off the boil and I do not see the end of the blip. redsquirrel
if jet isnt off in january,id sit him in behind agard and wilbraham, cunningham for Bryan and osbourne in for williams. play at a bit slower tempo so they all last the 90, we have failed without elliot and might struggle at leftback so cunningham really does need to fill joe bryans boots covering whoever is there
Stubbsy1993
3-1 City, it's important that we have a strong Christmas period and should be aiming for maximum points over the next few with a slightly favorable run of fixtures (the Crewe defeat aside) that we can use to strengthen our position at the top and go from there; the quicker we can get to 50 points the better! I'm with the bridesmaid on this one. With the added bonus of being under the cosh and a nailbiting last ten mins. Plus gobby Yoevil fans harping on about Manchester ruddy Utd. Major Isewater
Boxing Day games are always unpredictable apart from the odd ones that aren't So ,if Boxing Day games are unpredictable normally we'd go for a City win but as it's Boxing Day we'd say it will be a Yeovil win but as Boxing Day is unpredictable then that must be a win for the City .
