Red-Robbo
Jet against Port vale last season ...cracking throw The odd thing is that despite the fact that JET obviously has the longest throw at the club, he rarely takes them. Even when his throws could reach the box.
Major Isewater
I remember a Rob Newman throw or was it John Bailey ?
Slacker
Matt Bryant a central defender in the early 90s was a good long throw specialist - played many of his games in the "championship". He went to Gillingham , I seem to remember him getting some coverage in the national papers - not for his long throw though - IIRC correctly some non-football related story.Did he accidentally shoot himself in the foot or something like that? pride of the west
Didn't Andy lewellyn foul throw once, went mental when the ref called it and got sent off? 91 or 92? I seem to remember that one
'Orns
I remember a Rob Newman throw or was it John Bailey ? Bailey took a throw in once at FGR in a pre season friendly. Got some 'friendly' banter from the crowd, he let this kid have it back, with interest, once the throw was taken Love this thread, has brought back some very happy memories
EnclosureSurge
Didn't Andy lewellyn foul throw once, went mental when the ref called it and got sent off? 91 or 92? I seem to remember that one At West Ham? Midweek? He and Frankie Bubbles MacAvennie got sent off. Think/expect we lost. But not in the Chicken Run. PHILINFRANCE
I remember Andy Leaning taking a goal kick once, but he slipped and got mud on his tracksuit trousers. Thinking about it, he did that every time. I remember (vaguely, as ever) a goalkeeper overstepping the 18yard line when dropkicking out against Fulham: conceded a free kick from which Fulham scored and went on to win 5-0. JamesBCFC
Got a feeling that one of baldocks first 1 on 1 misses for us was from a cardiff throw, balders tackled the player, ran past the defenders and hit the post with just the keeper to beat
