Mangotsfield Red
OK, not the most pressing issue of the day after we blew away Notts County but; what did people make of the new version after the final whistle? Personally, I think if it ain't broke then don't fix it...
PeterStyvarsRightFoot
Was abit under whelmed in all honesty, just play the original ....
Red Exile
Why on earth would you make a change? Had they lost the original? We don't need an updated version.

Dave L
There's a simple explanation for this. Our regular DJ Tim Shires wasn't able to make the game today as he was moving house. His replacement downloaded a version of Drink Up Thy Zider to play at the end which obviously wasn't quite the same as the original. Normal service will be resumed at the next game. Mangotsfield Red
Not a patch on the original, I reckon. Maybe Dave Lloyd can explain the thinking behind it. Next thing they'll be changing our beloved robin badge to an indistinct coat of arms. Oh, wait...;-)

City Rocker
It's not new, this version was the b side of the updated One For The Bristol City single that came out maybe 6 or 7 years ago. I suppose it's ok if you like that sort of thing
Lack of Action Man
The sound quality on the old one is dreadful, at least the new one was audible.
RedM
I thought it was ok, a bit more upbeat to celebrate a win. I don't know if I'd like to trudge out to it after a l*** (you know, one of those matches when the other team scores more than you do) though. UK0wnag3
I actually thought it was better to hear after a win. The fact it was quicker meant the fans were now singing in time with it.

JBFC
Also, the speaker in the dolman started messing up by playing the pre recorded safety message when the teams were being read out and stating " if you hear this tone ' Mark Little' followed by instructions',

Am I to now believe that if I hear the words Mark Little over the PA, I am to report to the nearest safety steward who direct my to the nearest emergency exit? Redderland
I don't care what version people listen to in the privacy of their own homes, but at Ashton Gate it has to be Adge. Not negotiable.
Tim S
As Dave L mentioned, I was away on Saturday due to moving house and the person covering (who does the matchday music for Bristol Rugby) has never covered a City game before. He was not used to how things usually work and a couple of regular things might have been a bit different to normal. Everything will be back to normal for the next home game.... RedM
I thought Blackbird was played after a loss? I think you are right, I've never really noticed only it was a Wurzels song. But yes we really shouldn't be singing 'and tonight we'll merry be' after a loss

T R
On a different tune, new group on the farmyard block. I only just came across it on youtube just now. Anybody know anything about them? This song caught my attention first. It could make it to the stands. http://youtu.be/WuxknZSSex0 There are two others that I thought were lyrically good that could also make it into the stands. Might need to be quite pissed though. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQJVOXYg_tQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bY4EfFUn2oM&spfreload=1 I still think the Wurzels are the best. http://youtu.be/syGJbajbvPk
