ciderbeans
Baldock has better work rate and left on good terms. Was captain and league top goal scorer. Maynard is injury prone, left under a dark cloud and has done bugger all in 3 seasons. No brainer for me. Sammy B all day long
Fordy62
Maynard was the better striker. Baldock is the better striker.
Taylor10
With both these strikers struggling to get in their new sides, which one of the two would people welcome back?? If Maynard was fully fit then he is twice the player Baldock is. No brainer for me. Regardless of the circumstances he left under, Maynard every day of the week. red mist
I expect Baldock to go to Franchise dons before transfer window closes (just an opinion no inside knowledge) Their manager announced today that they are going to make a major signing on Thursday
CITYAREREDANDWHITE
Would be stupid to go for someone who has sufferd with injury after injury in Maynard, instead of baldock who finished highest scorer in L1 last year. Baldock all day long

BS3_RED
I live in South Wales and talk to a lot of Cardiff fans. Their view on Maynard is not a good one and they think he is now no where near the player he was for us.

Harry
Neither. We've moved on as a club and neither are what we need. Both had huge flaws in their games which were mainly disguised from the masses by their goals tally.

Guest
Given Baldock has played for both us and Brighton this season can't he play for another club? I get confused by the three club rule. I understand you can play for three if you move during end of season previous (like Smith has)..Players may be registered for a maximum of three clubs during the period from 1 July until 30 June of the following year. During this period, the player is only eligible to play in Official Matches for two clubs. As an exception to this rule, a player moving between two clubs belonging to associations with overlapping seasons (i.e. start of the season in summer/autumn as opposed to winter/spring) may be eligible to play in official matches for a third club during the relevant season, provided he has fully complied with his contractual obligations towards his previous clubs. Equally, the provisions relating to the registration periods (article 6) as well as to the minimum length of a contract (article 18 paragraph 2) must be respected. cottsciderarmy
Baldock can't play for another club apart from Bristol Ciry or Brighton this season. It's different regarding Matt Smith as he only played pre season in non competitive matches for Leeds, so the only official league games he has played in are for us and Fulham,
Rocky
Maynard is possibly on his way to - http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/cardiff-city-striker-nicky-maynard-8486631 Maybe we should sign Cardiff player 'Guido Burgstaller' just for his name. screech
Maynard has been finished as a player since he left us. His multiple injuries have seen to that, shame as he was potentially a top end championship player. Any club that gets him now are utter mugs and buying him solely on his past reputation.
