WolfOfWestStreet
5 goals over the tie in full knowledge he would not play in the final should we have got there. Fair play to you mate cracking effort, absolutely worthy of the red shirt, keep us going in the league and you'll always be welcome back at Ashton Gate as a player or as a guest. Well done and thanks, your talent has been appreciated
redsince1994
Outstanding loan signing. Will always get a good reception from me regardless of how he returns to ashton gate.
Slack Bladder
Would he qualify for a medal if we win it?
Kala Taro
Yeah, thanks big guy. To score all the goals for the winning team in a two legged semi-final must be some sort of record. See you at Wembley.
Lrrr
Arguably one of if not our best loan signing in a long time, if he continues as he has done for the rest of his spell then arguably could be a better loan signing than Caulker and thats high standards

Ohbasso
Nice one smudger, I think the only defender in league one who could mark him is Flint!
Kala Taro
Would he qualify for a medal if we win it? I'm guessing not as it's usually only the matchday squad but maybe the club could push for 'exceptional circumstances' in this case?
Taylor10
Not bad for someone that's apparently not very good. Fair play to the big fella. Cracking stuff.

Frenchay Red
Maybe I'm thick, why hasn't mr lansdown purchased him! No point really as he wouldn't be able to play for us this season after his final loan spell has ended.
RedM
Maybe I'm thick, why hasn't mr lansdown purchased him! Because even if he did tomorrow we couldn't play him until next season. League rules which have been discussed a few times on here. And yes he certainly showed the true professional he is by giving his all to get to a trophy final he knew he could take no part in. Northern Red
Thought it was a nice touch that Cotts said that as long as Fulham allow it, he'll be invited to spend the day at Wembley with the squad.
View from the Dolman
When you think about the likes of Stern John, he'll go down as a bit of a loan legend around BS3.

samo II
Barring any massive drop off in form over the next month, he surely has to be up there as one of our finest loan players of all time, certainty a 'limited time' one (i.e. not full season like Caulker)? He's out scored even Mark Robins when he came in under Wilson, and his goals have already got us further in at least one competition. All he needs to do is score the winner against MK Dons and he'll be nailed down in club folklaw and no mistake. Question, if (big IF) we win the league, I presume he has played/will likely play enough league games for a championship medal?
timothy bird
Lazy and obviously not interested in the club! As a wise man sitting near me at the Yeovil game said ' he's dog poo, and I'm going to boo the lazy fat tunt even if he scores! Tbf he kept his promise! What loyal, patient, knowledgeable supporters we have! Well done matty proved the idiots wrong!
Super
Really like the bloke would love to see him here next season. Still has a big part to play in the next month, hopefully he will be at Wembley with the team.
RedM
I've removed a couple of posts from here, one of them was less than warranted as someone else pointed out, but I removed them both before this thread turns into a slanging match which Smith doesn't deserve right now. Port Said Red
Outstanding loan signing. Will always get a good reception from me regardless of how he returns to ashton gate. I always though a footballer with a brain would be dangerous, turns out he is. I saw in the Joe Bryan article that he mentioned that Smith was well educated, I never thought that all the players follow the same stereotype, nice to hear it being confirmed.
