slartibartfast
Strange that. Thought it was a pride thing, being Yid's? I'm aware of the Yiddish connection but never thought it was meant as derogatory in any way? Gooners fault, they used to call them that, and like NLBR they took it on themselves. RedYoshi
Been behind the goal at Stamford Bridge. Constantly told to sit down.
cityexile
Just turned on MoTD. Clearly a very different shade, but still surprised to see both allowed to play in blue.

North London Red
Some of the chants were disgusting. Why would you sing something like 'Always the victims, its never your fault'? Sickening. If it had been sung at AG the lawyers would've been brought in. In Chelsea's case I suspect this probably goes back to their fans being blamed for the Heysel disaster in 1985: "Juventus are just as appalled at Liverpool's then chairman John Smith for attempting to shift blame on to Chelsea hooligans who had travelled to Belgium. Smith told reporters he believed the trouble to be the fault of "Chelsea fans" due to the amount of southern accents heard in the stands." http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2012/05/29/heysel-anniversary-juventus-liverpool_n_1551780.html http://www.not606.com/threads/chelsea-and-millwall-blamed-for-heysel.232633/ I'm not condoning the chant, by the way (and it's also one that some Man Utd fans have sung when they play Liverpool).
