The Official Leyton Orient V Bristol City Match Day Thread

We seem to play better on Tuesday, how strange.

Bit of a theory - but on Saturdays we are typically playing a team that has had a week off to our four days. On a Tuesday we have both played on a Saturday, and are equally tired. Might be rubbish, but at least its a theory.

Again, we have has less possession, fewer shots - and won.

SC: "They didn't even shake our hands at the end. And they watered the pitch all over the end we were defending in the second half."

I just saw this. Not sure why the bad feeling towards us? And also I thought it was the rule you had to water the pitch equally?

Lost the least amount of games, second best for goals scored & conceded, 7 points clear of second if Preston win their game in hand Oh how that table looks better than I thought it was going to be at the end of tonight.

Who's thinking the double should be our target now & very obtainable. :-D :-D :-D

7 points clear of 2nd?

Might want to look at the updated table whilst holding onto your knickers!

Edit. I'm a retard.

Both retards I had to edit it to put the Preston bit in as forgot when originally writing it was hoping I'd got away before anyone read it but obviously not the case  :-)

Respect on owning up! Your thoughts now?

It was fantasy, but we are living in that right now!

To be promoted at the Swindon match we need to be 16 points clear of third place at final whistle (assuming we all have 5 games left at that stage).

Its almost a given if we beat Swindon that we would be over them. We would then need to take 5 more points out of MK over the next 7 games.

If we maintain our form, its moved to the 'possible' certainly!

Someone who was there - what's the story with the watering of the pitch? Plenty of Orient fans saying on Twitter that both ends were watered, but that it didn't really do them any favours either. Cotterill seemed to imply it was just our end.

The only time you saw splashes was the area about 30 yards out from our goal.

But Ian (BristolBoy) who phones in after every bloody game said it was the worst away peformance of the season and Orient were the best attacking side he's seen this season.

He must be right, he always is (in his head).

I can't really make a comparison like BristolToddler only having gone to 2 away games.  But if that is our worst away performance then it might explain why we are top....

Orient weren't the best attacking side tonight.  But, as you say, who are we to disagree with Ian.

Currently on hols, so had to make do with intermittent text alerts whenever I got signal (which gave me the impression it was 1-1). Can't describe just how happy I was when I got back to my room and suddenly received a load of notifications with both the final score and the Swindle and MK Dons results. COYR!

They watered both ends at ht, though the end we were defending 2nd half was watered a lot more and was basically waterlogged at the start of the 2nd half. Not sure why they did this. Orient played some decent football at times so it probably didn't help them.

Guest Ben_86UK

Why do some people, no matter how well we are doing moan about every pass, every ambitious movement? The guy behind me said in the run up to the first we are shit, he's a *****. We're top the league why do some Peoria have to be so negative?
