Dean Saunders-Pre Bristol City Game

I must have been blinking a lot, as I missed the 5 times "we were through on their goalkeeper"?  Also, the player interviewed on BBC Sussex said they made "7, 8 9 chances" - even though the stats show 2 shots on goal.  Apparently Crawley also played the better football - if yo count booting it towards our end or launching endless long throws. They just have to admit it, top teams don't have to play lower teams off the park, just show quality when it counts. How many times when we were at the bottom have we said a top team was no better than us, but still won.  Anyway, don't goals from corners count? Saunders may have spent time in training trying to stop them, but what about the hours we spend on getting them right - it doesn't just happen.

Cotterill pointed out that they had a weakness at defending the near post at corners and that when Freeman got the delivery right Ayling won us the game. Obviously our hour or so spent on the training pitch working on it was better than theirs!! The harder you work on the training pitch the more you win games at places like Crawley when you should have "apparently" lost 8 or 9-2!! As the Leyton Orient player said the other day "they are top because they get the small details right". Small details like spotting the oppositions weaknesses and taking advantage of them.

Comes across as a smug idiot in this. His comments about us near the end that we have "lots of Championship players on big wages & a big budget" & who will be "coming here tomorrow expecting to just walk off with the points" all said with a childish smirk on his face. Would love to smash them tomorrow!!!

Remind me Dean......how many of our players were playing in the Championship last season??? Oh yeah that's right....none! (Our two 35 year olds were at championship clubs, didn't play & were loaned out)

Blokes a absolute bellend, said similar things about us when at Wolves and we all know how well he done there.

Another bitter and twisted manager talking shite to try and save his job. This one really is a pathetic specimen who really does feel sorry for himself - thought he was going to breakdown in tears at one point. Poor old Crawley stuck with that knob.

Sounds like the perfect man to lead the gascum back into the ranks of paid football .

Think Holloway will be looking for a new job soon, as things arnt going so well at Millwall, on the plus side, whoever they play is a good pick for your Acca!!!
