City fan 1982
bet the evening post wont mention it , if it was a city fan they would be asking for people to identify him, have a 3 page pull out
Peter O Hanraha-hanrahan
http://gaschat.co.uk/thread/2538/me Read more... According to one of the OPs posts later in the thread it would appear that part of his motivation for running onto the pitch to confront a player who hasn't played for them for years is that he's "sick of all the sh*t the sh*theads have given us for years" (Boo ******* Hoo!). Ive always thought that this is the main reason why they invaded the pitch at the end of the Mansfield game, making up some absolute nonsense about City fans supposedly being in the away end to try and justify their actions. To be fair the rest of the posters on that thread they obviously think the OP is a dik.

ciderup
I would imagine they could be in trouble, again, if the referee reports the incident.
Bazooka Joe
He deserves a standing Ivation for getting them a possible points deduction.

Super
Do they actually have Police at non-league games..? Or proper referees? I heard it is one of the players dads who des it.
BS13 Robin
isn't this the second time that a gas "fan" has attacked an opposing player this season?
Slacker
Lucky they didn't both run on or there would have been trouble!
Stoke_Gifford_Red
Aren't rovers already on a final warning from the conference about controlling their fans? They could be in for a points deduction here Being cynical, the Conference will probably see benefits to giving Rovers a points deduction.
Slacker
Reckon they will let them keep the points to help get shot of them?
Red-Robbo
I love the bit about the Gas "meant to be catching us up" being a reason for his frustration. Amazing. He also claims that you "can't just take the p!ss out of Bristol Rovers and get away with it". He's wrong, we've been doing that for years! So has Higgs! Aizoon
They seem to be the only club that's immune to any sort of punishment for pitch invasions - so no reason to think it will be different this time A bit difficult, what with the Downs being an open space and all
Aizoon
Ah. Its just a bit of a laugh. I see, thats ok then. Thanks to the Post for that in-depth report. Can you imagine the Post report if it had been one of our idiots?
Cider_boy
Ah. Its just a bit of a laugh. I see, thats ok then. Thanks to the Post for that in-depth report. At least the post did report it - it is at least now 'out there' and not restricted to a gas forum. Come on conference - yet another in the long list of misbehaviour by gas 'fans', about time you took some action rather than constantly turning a blind eye, otherwise you'll find you can never sanction anyone else either. Yes, but if the Conference deducts points, they'll have to put up with the Sags for another season
Cider_boy
Yes, but if the Conference deducts points, they'll have to put up with the Sags for another season Not necessarily - make an example of them with an unprecedented 50 point deduction, its a win/win!
