DC Red Posted March 21, 2015 Report Share Posted March 21, 2015 Listening to the online commentary for Barnsley vs Preston, it would not surprise me if Preston would want us to beat Swindon when we play them to open up the gap to third place. They seemed more concerned about that gap than the gap to us. Interesting mindset - unsurprisingly, promotion is more important to them than the title. If they were as many points clear at the top as we are, they'd be looking at the gap to 2nd as well but they don't have that luxury (yet). That said they are starting to make that 2nd spot their own and as soon as we've (hopefully) finished Swindon off, they'll probably be looking to turn their sights on trying to overtake us but they've a long gap to close with not much road left ahead. After today 10 points behind us and only one game in hand. So if they win the game in hand and beat us they will still be 4 points behind us. Looking good for the title.
