Anyhoo, much the better side could have won. Wasn't THAT impressed with PNE considering THEY think they're better than us ! The away end holds 6000 minus 1000 for the seat cover adverts for Virgin Trains. You then had two thirds of it which brings that down to 3200 and there were large swatches of seats not taken to the right as we looked at it. So about right to say 2442 which is actually what the turnstiles recorded. Still a good following and more to the point, good support. Love the Swindon song! Thought Preston looked very nervous and after a dull, even first half we shaded the second and certainly deserved the point although probably didn't do enough for all three. Where as your keeper kept you in it 3 times or more. I thought we did a good job without pushing ourselves, but didn't give your lot much of a sniff. I would agree. It was better today because we were more compact than at MK. Preston & MK both have fine stadiums, but Preston's has a better design for creating an atmosphere. Yes results wise during our 7 weeks on Tuesday nights we've had better returns but Tuesday was just up there as one of those nights you'll never forget and yesterday was a massive step towards securing our first title in 60 years with the sun shining, both sets of fans doing their respective clubs proud, that song, good solid performance and no traffic.
