Decent enough going forward, but christ what a shocking defense that was, and a pretty lightweight midfield too. Our current team would absolutely spank that one. WhistleHappy
Ironically that dark day at Brum may well have been the ultimate blessing in disguise for the Club... If we'd 'survived' that year chances are we might have bumbled along making the same costly and non too productive mistakes. Look where we are today, two short years later, we were forced to take a long hard look in the mirror, assess and change quite radically some old long standing habits. Make a few good (some great top to bottom decisions) and here we are ready to take on the Championship once more. This time much better prepared to do it properly financially and in every department BCFC (with infrastructure development well underway and a fit for purpose 21st Century stadium taking shape) is looking like a match for anybody.. This time it feels 'right' .. BCFC onwards and upwards, (we've even picked up some great lodgers too!) Championship, been there done that, tough lessons learned well - like we said at the time 'hasta la vista we'll be back' ... Watch Out - HERE WE COME! Tinmans Love Child
I think looking at how well Bournemouth and Brentford have done this season and other 'smaller' clubs previously, shows that with a good solid team, playing well, anything is possible, especially against the so called bigger clubs who have fallen from grace, have spent years rotting in the Championship living off of past glories! Clubs like Swansea, Hull, Reading, Cardiff are testament to the fact that reputations count for nothing
