MC RISK77
Maybe one of Burns or Reid will have a good season ore both. Think last season we played the first 17 leauge games with the same 11players. 4 new players would be good. Ok I may be on my own here but I have seen nothing in Bobby reid to suggest he can even cut it at league 1 or 2 let alone the championship....too early to tell for burns but I feel he is slightly more promising than Reid

Rich
Neither are good enough for this level.Which leaves us with a squad of twelve fit players, including one who played little more than a bit part role last season.
bemmyredjeff
Saville would not be a good signing. He's lightweight & nowhere near good enough for the Championship Reid is lightweight and wagstaff was nowhere near good enough to even challenge for a place in league 1!! miketh2nd
But aren't you glad we're not signing championship journeymen who most lightly only sign for us to stay away from league one . As mentioned above I think we can't go that far wrong with younger players with potential and then splash out on a few key players. Then bolster the squad with loan signings , I'm thinking with us finding it harder with the higher wages we may well have a few on season long loans thus season. Feel free to update whenever there's further movement; if there's a way for moderator adjustment to bump the thread up at the same time, so much the better. Leveller
The signing of Joshua was kept very , very quiet . They're identical twins. When one tires, you sub him with the other without the ref spotting. Only one salary is advised to the League, so it helps with FFP ....
Admin Ian M Posted August 4, 2015 Admin Report Share Posted August 4, 2015 Edited to include Greg's departure. I fear if we don't have an incoming transfer/loan tomorrow this is it for the Sheffield game as we will travel up on Thursday. Presuming Wagstaff fit, I think Cotterill will allow Kelly & Harper to play for the U18s but bring O'Leary along & go with just a 5 man bench of O'Leary, el Abd, Burns, Reid & Wagstaff. Wonder what SL will make of that?

JoeAman08
Solid 18. Think we all feel we need another CM and a left sided defender as well as a keeper but that squad is very strong for the first match. Think Agard will make the bench? I read he was close but I dont recall if that was close to training or if he's been doing any running.

Robin1988
I think we'll see a new CM and CB/LWB in at some point, wouldn't bet on it being before the last few days in August at the earliest though.

Admin Ian M Posted August 7, 2015 Admin Report Share Posted August 7, 2015 You have forgot max o'leary who,has been given a squad number so it's 19 players This will be because he needs one for tomorrow. I don't think he'll be considered part of the senior squad for the whole season & we will get another goalie in whilst Max continues his development in the youth squads. Nogbad the Bad
You have forgot max o'leary who,has been given a squad number so it's 19 players I didn't forget O'Leary. Toyed with the idea of including him but came to the conclusion an 18 year old keeper would only be a very temporary squad member. Even if circumstances dictate he's on the bench tomorrow he's still in the same category as Morrell, Harper, Kelly etc. in my book.

Getting a goalkeeper in, regardless of when/if it happens, is likely to be our lowest priority of any more incomings, especially as Max seems fairly capable.
