bs3
No. The character he plays is a bit of a **** so the director wanted him to dress the part.

Welcome To The Jungle
I believe Nick Frost is a Hammer. I might be wrong though
Welcome To The Jungle
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0425112/trivia "Nick Frost is in fact a West Ham fan and apparently hated wearing the Bristol Rovers shirt."
Cider_boy
If you need a character in a comedy film to wear comedy clothing.....
BS2 Red
Nick Frost is not from the Westcountry and so probably had no idea of the horrific shirt they were making him wear. Simon Pegg is from Gloucester and so would have known the shame he was going to force his mate to endure.

Avalonred
That might be right, he went to the Blue School in Wells so very possible. I'd like to mention that going to the Blue School in Wells is not a precursor to being a sad six-fingered pikey Gashead, it just happens to be in the Westcountry...... Myself....and many others on here....are from that area and are far from being even close to having the wish to wear the quartered clown suit in question! That is all. Phileas Fogg
Not saying it's not the case, but wouldn't he have put Nick Frost in a City shirt, if that was the case? Why have the dumbass wearing your clubs colours? I remember at the time City said no, that may be totally wrong.

Oh I know, I attended that school myself. My point was because it was localish to Bristol. I do find that Wells is slightly more Gas sympathising given the links at Wells City FC to the Randall family.

Avalonred
Sandford does exist and produces mighty fine cider I'll think you'll find It does indeed, and is a village I think, Wells is of course a City (and some mighty fine cider is made locally too)
Phileas Fogg
Asked, as in 'can we use your shirt in the film?' - do such things have to be asked?? Good question, I don't know - the rumour around wells (where it was filmed) was that City knew the character has negative connotations so vetoed it.
