The dastardly red
I'm trying to decide what film to watch tonight and I fancy a western. Anyone got a good recommend? What's your favourite western?

marshy
'Unforgiven' wins hands down for me. Clint stars and directs. A beautifully paced film with an amazing climax. Great cast, not just my favourite Western but probably favourite film ever.

Gazred
For something a little different try The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford. Its bleak but beautifully filmed and has some great performances in there, Casey Affleck and Sam Rockwell as the Ford brothers are particularly good. Underrated film IMO. CiderHider
Apart from blazing saddles ive not seen any of these films, does the back to the future III count or every which way but loose?
Red-Robbo
Or for a change try an Australian "Western". The lawless interior of Australia was much like the lawless interior of America in the 19th Century. Try the Nick Cave penned The Proposition. But don't tell Aussie I've been recommending an Australian film! Will never hear the last of it...
