Don't Get Carried Away

Two consecutive wins against promotion rivals is always good for team spirit and confidence - but lets not us fans get carried awy with 6 points from 6 in the last two games.

We've been here before this season - good home win against Swindon after three points at Plymouth.Great results but then followed by 4 draws and a desperate defeat to the bottom side within the next 5 league games.

Thats why Saturdays game at Blackpool is crucial - a win there at you may start to think that our season is getting underway.

I think that by mid January, the league will start to take its shape. The main promotion candidates will start to take a firm grip on the league.

However there is a long way to go, and the league is very close. All it needs is one team to put together a good run of results (19 games unbeaten again would be nice).

Have faith, we'll be up there come the end of the season.

6 pointers could well be especially significant this season.Seem to feel unlike the last few seasons that no team is looking real likely to break away, consequently as the season progresses two thirds of the teams in the division will still be thinking of a top six spot & the play-offs.

Therefore performing well with teams just above us and below may just tip the scales at seasons end.

This season unlike the last few, we are actually picking up 3 points ove the teams that will probably be there or there abouts at the end of the season, it was exactly us not picking these points that has been out downfall in previous seasons.

I for one am getting carried away and see automatic promotion all but in the bag :how funny:
