I'm afraid I think we're gonna lose 3-2. Kodjia will put us in the lead, only for Brentford to strike twice before half time. Flint will get us level from a corner but Brentford will do us on the counter as we search for a winner.

Luckily I am rubbish at predictions!

City to win 2-1 after trailing 1-0 at half time, Kodjia to score our first goal and Robinson to score the second.

One goal to be scored in front of the south stand.

Brentford to score at 25', Kodjia to score 50' and Freeman to score 65'

Wildcard match score to be a 1-0 win for MK Dons.

How can you sensibly predict all that!

I'd stick to the a score line if I were you.

Now not sure how Brentford; or us for that matter, are going perform

on Saturday. But we all know Brentford were unlucky not to get promoted last season.

So this will be a tough game. But I think at home city will show there metal.

I'm going for a narrow victory for us or a score draw.

There is very little sensible about this whole fandango, but he'd be scuppering himself if he stuck to merely the scoreline.

Whack a few random minutes down, who knows, might get an extra couple of points here or there to go with the joy of inventing your own narrative.

And sensible or otherwise, we all like points.

Now... Narrow victory or score draw? You've voted for neither, so are doing yourself a disservice...

In case people only open the 2nd page:

IT'S COMING HOME.

IT'S COMING.

FOOTBALL'S COMING HOME.

New stand, new league, hopefully a new result.

(Compared to the last two results, obviously, not the last result at Ashton Gate. I'd take that in an instant.)

Vote in the poll for:

Result

Scoreline

Half-time scoreline

First goalscorer

Specify in a post (if desired):

Other goalscorers

Goal timings

BONUS EXTRA FUN-TIME PREDICTION

It's the first time it'll be full, so...

Number Of Goals Scored In Front Of The New South Stand

(Wedlock / East End / Dribuild Restricted View Black Screen Of Death Stand)

Correct total number: 1 point

Correct division of that number between the two teams: 1 point per team total

Name the first player to score in that end: 2 points

(e.g. 3 goals: 2 City, 1 Brentford. Dwight Gayle with a piledriver.)

[E2A: you can guess that no one will score in front of the South Stand, and will receive further instruction if this comes to pass]

Maximum of 5 points.

Include it in a post. Especially you, BCFC Jordan.

Also include in your post the bit I forgot last time:

WILDCARD MATCH OF THE WEEKEND

MK Dons v Preston

Our fellow League One alumni seems like a good place to start.

2 points up for grabs, only awarded for correct scoreline.

I'm anticipating continued optimism from most. We've gotta win at some point, right?

PREDICTION DEADLINE: 14.00 BST, Saturday 15th August, 2015

(or as close to that as a mod can lock the thread again, please and thank you)

Dare to dream.

2-0 home win

1-0 h/t

Wilbs the skipper to get both, one on 13 minutes, one on 77 (13 minutes to go).....who needs Dwight or Andre!!!!

Wilbs to score in front of South Stand

MKD vs PNE (the acronym Derby!!) 1-1

Can we rename thus thread the guesswork or heart rather than head thread!!!

Abandoning complete pessimism, I see.

Well we have to get a decent result eventually I guess.

All 4 in front of South Stand..? 'Cos your half time scoreline of 1-0 suggests otherwise...

Yeah I realised as I posted that I'd contradicted my half time prediction. Ah well, just hedging my bets on how many first half goals there will be.
