Wanderingred
Attendance according to soccerway. Is that a mistake? A sellout was announced. 2000 empty seats?
Unan
Definitely wasn't a sell out, 100+ seats free in the bottom of the Dolman.
Spoons
Still reduced capacity, also with a unreserved section in ateyo you aren't allowed to sell every seat
ciderbeans
Would have come on the day if I knew it wasn't a sell out. Poor PR from the club
SODS_LAW
It was a sell out 2000 fans were in fancy dress dressed as empty seats

Stoke_Gifford_Red
Still reduced capacity, also with a unreserved section in ateyo you aren't allowed to sell every seat Exactly. There will be a slow ramping up in the amount of seats we are allowed to sell. Regulations/H+S is to blame for that.
Port Said Red
Almost the whole row we were in was empty and the one in front too. Almost right behind the goal as well..... This is the "new section" that we were moved to when they decided they wanted the unreserved area ti gi ti the flaggy men.
JoeAman08
Definitely wasn't full. Only guess was some season ticket holders maybe on holiday? It was a decent size crowd though just a shame it wasn't full as it was announced as a sell out. Maybe that was because they couldn't sell the full 16,500 because of first match? Chairman Mao
not even close to a sell out, could you buy tickets online or are the club telling the truth
LegionOfBrad
Unreserved searing blocks lose 10% and I don't think they could sell all seats due to health and safety ramp up. They probably called it a sellout because they sold every seat they were allowed. We'll see in the coming weeks.

HoldenBall
Brentford didn't sell out their allocation, pretty poor following from them tbh.
SyntaxtheRed
Nothing like a sell out. Loads of empty seats in the new SS. Would love an update as to why they left so many seats unsold yet declared it a sell out. Surely throwing money away.
Davefevs
Just because a seat is empty doesn't mean it's unsold.....there will be plenty of ST seats not used because of holidays, other commitments etc. I think the club should introduce an ability to sell your ticket back to the club if you can't attend, especially whilst we are restricted to 16,500. Up The City!
STH's are included in the attendance if they are there a or not. The reduced capacity would have been because of health and safety.

Red Rum
Was really surprised at the number of empty seats in the home section of the Atyeo - from where I was sat in the Dolman it looked like around a quarter. Fair few in the South Stand as well.
John Galley
I have been told that because of all the alterations to the Dolman, Atyeo and the new South Stand, the ground has to be tested and scagging problems corrected before a full stadium license can be granted, this involves a reduction in number of tickets sold in all parts of the ground. NYTRAM
Also lik me and my daughter many cant make early games because we're still away on holiday. Wish the season would start 2 weeks later. Our first game not until the 29th Burnley I think.

Made todays game, but my boy and I miss the next two as we fly to Bulgaria monday for family hols - so there must be a few hundred in a similar position I would think
Richwilkins50
Didnt they say they had to operate the first 2 games at reduced capacity? That would've explained the empty seats

I thought this must be the case, because there were almost whole rows of seats in the non season ticket block of the SS empty. Lots of seats around me too in the lower Dolman.
