Well Done The Academy

Maybe we shouldn't knock having these lads on the bench to call upon to change a game.

Sometimes it's situations like we are in, where lads like these, can grasp their chance and show what they can do....where as they wouldn't get the chance before.

Time will tell. Both have talent...it's whether they can step up and do it on a regular basis like Joe.

How great would it be to have three Bristol lads in the team.

This is the point. We've seen flashes of it especially from Reid before but when he gets a run of games he just hasnt got the ability to keep it going consistently.. The jury is still out for me on him, the lad is 22 aswell.. Now or never IMO.

True and I don't think it by coincidence it's situations like these. The kids have genuine freedom. They can displace players with good performances. No doubt about that. Therefore it's their chance to get a good run and get rewarded. They can see the end game more so than if rotated.

It all serves to give them the best chance to succeed. Sometimes that's the bit of luck that can determine whether a kid makes it or not - IMO.

There was more than that, Spud: Wes, Joe & Bob plus Hamer and the ones who jumped on the pitch from the Atyeo. That's quite a few Bristol lads...

Great to have 3 players from the academy on the pitch, hopefully they can all progress and be permanent fixtures in the team, that will only have a positive impact on the other academy players who can see a way through to the first team! I know it's needs must at the moment but if they do well then keep playing them and save some cash!

Strictly speaking and also being pedantic about it.

Wes Burns is from South Wales.

Hamer hails from Chard, the birthplace of the one and only Threshing Machine, the best left back I have seen at City.

Bobbie and Joe are true Brizzle Boys.

But at least the three B boys are from our Academy. The more the better!
