Aaron Mooy

We need a young all round midfielder with the potential to progress with the club. This is the player we should be looking at.

He is the best player in the A League by a mile, has previously played in GB and in the summer before signing a 3 year deal said he wanted to move to Europe.

He is simply quality and we would be far better offering a million or two, which in Aus would be too much to turn down. Wages wouldn't be high, as players are on around 10-15K a month in the A League and he would definitely improve our midfield markedly.

While he's not the best player by far in the A-League (He's not even the best midfielder i'd say, that's Broich or Bonevacia) he would be a decent addition to our squad. Nathan Burns, the best player in the league last season, left Wellington for Tokyo for less than a million so Mooy shouldn't cost too much. City should have a decent look at the A-league, a lotta cheap options over there who would be pretty good for us. Could've snapped us up a Tony Antonis or Awer Mabil before they went off to Europe. Dare I say Besart Berisha might've been worth a punt too, certainly a lot cheaper then Gray that's for sure. Should also be worth nothing Tommy Oar is still a free agent. He would be class.

Berisha went to Burnley when they were in the Championship and didn't even get a game because he was crap.

That was a long time ago (I mean Flint was in non-league at that point), not to mention the fact he was injured for his entire first year there, then out on loan the next. 63 goals in 104 A-League games is none too shabby.

I always think it must be really hard to judge the true quality of players in a relatively poor league. Another reason why clubs play more for proven experience in the league/country they'll be playing in.

A player from La Liga to Premiership is a lot easier to judge than something like A-League to Championship.
