cottsciderarmy
Literally 1 chance in the second half, we're sitting on the ball well, but doing nothing with it, and causing Burnley no concern so they are happy to just sit back and watch us pass it about in midfield creating nothing. Burnley happy with 2-0 and nothing in the game to suggest the scoreline will change. We are not creative enough and when we get a chance in on goal, the finishing is poor. Quote Link to comment
ciderbeans
Need to start with kodjia and Agard up front to stretch defence constantly. Quote Link to comment
Robbie_Turner
From the other end it looked like it kicked off in the Atyeo again??? What's that all about? If it has, someone needs to complain, or get the stewards/police. Can't have trouble in the same areas every home game, for 1 it's not fair on the people in that area having a bully boy ruling the roost !! Quote Link to comment
cityexile
Substitution Substitution, Bristol City. Callum Robinson replaces Joe Bryan. Not an obvious one to me, but not there in fairness. Quote Link to comment

cityexile
This half, just sounds like they have killed the game off, and done it effectively. 1 Quote Link to comment
cottsciderarmy
3-5-2 doesn't work. He are too vulnerable for counter attacks and Burnley have had to do nothing second half, just sit back and watch us pass it around ourselves and produce nothing ! Was too easy for Burnley. Possession means nothing without goals. Quote Link to comment
Coxy27
1-2. Can we? No, we can't because it's finished. 1-2 FT Quote Link to comment

cottsciderarmy
Consolation goal, full time 1-2. We need a creative midfielder and a striker, plus we need to revert to 4-4-2 we're not good enough at the back when teams come at us under this current formation. Quote Link to comment
cottsciderarmy
Weren't their 2 goals from set pieces?, not counter attacks. Yes they were but we push forward and leave ourselves vulnerable and we have done nearly every game this season. Burnley didn't even try in the second half, and we created little. internetjef
Cant see any argument for 442 at all defenders and midfielders all perfectly fit 352 2 x specialist wingbacks also Quote Link to comment

ciderbeans
Will be same answers from cotterill. Not taking chances and making simple errors to concede. He won't be happy. Absolute nightmare start to the season in all tbh Quote Link to comment

cottsciderarmy
Cant see any argument for 442 at all defenders and midfielders all perfectly fit 352 2 x specialist wingbacks also Our team may be suited to the system, but the system or the players are not good enough playing this system at this level. Defensively we are vulnerable and not organised, and when we attack we leave ourselves wide open. On the break we move the ball well but there is no final 3rd product, whether it be the ball to the strikers or the strikers attempts. 7/8 of our current team are good enough, sadly 3/4 are not and unless we are prepared to pay the wages required, this will be a long season. Our options on the bench are also poor, as realistically none of our bench is good enough for this division. Quote Link to comment

Wanderingred
Picked off yet again by a team that didn't play that well. Happy that we,ve looked good again but how long before our confidence starts to drain and performances start to deteriorate? Extremely worried, but ill leave it to a more experienced doom and gloom merchant to do all the moaning. Quote Link to comment
cottsciderarmy
But it would appear that we weren't actually vulnerable to counter attacks today?. They hit us on the break in the first half for the first goal, which resulted in a corner which they scored from. Then we looked shell shocked that having all the play we were 1-0 down, and they got another quickly from a set piece. After that they sat back seeing us as no danger and made no attempt to attack at any stage in the 2nd half. Had Burnley wished to, they could have probably gone for a 3rd but they never needed to and were always comfortable. Quote Link to comment

Absolute nightmare start to the season in all tbh Not really a nightmare. I think it will sum up our season: mixed results throughout for a mid to lower table finish. The danger for me is that I get a bad feeling that Cotterill will be gone by Christmas Quote Link to comment

BRISTOL86
Yes they were but we push forward and leave ourselves vulnerable and we have done nearly every game this season. Burnley didn't even try in the second half, and we created little. That's because they set up with 10 men behind the ball because we gifted them two goals from corners. You're talking nonsense to suggest the formation was at fault. We were incredibly poor defending two set pieces and that's what cost us. Agard should have been on, there was no one running the channels in the second half Quote Link to comment

One BCFC
Lets be honest we are a newly promoted side playing against a former Prem team lets not beat ourselves up about it, they will be up there come May I'm sure. Not beatingthe likes of Huddersfield, Bolton, Rotherham, Preston and MK Dons would be a real worry. Quote Link to comment
