Phileas Fogg
Is it just me or is there a lot less media content this season? Seems to be the minimum possible.. Highlights, 3 interviews pre match and 2/3 post match..In previous seasons there's been lots more. Interviews with Burt, 'fun' features..the only 'extra curricular' stuff I can remember this season aside from tour is the interview with Wade.I feel our media strong has been really good last few years, but with YouTube.. Snapchat etc even more prominent it's even easier to create new innovative content.. Even BcfcSnap seems to have lost a bit of zip this season.. Anyone else noticed this? RumRed
Always easier to produce when you're winning every week I guess.Any 'fun' stuff would get completely over analysed o here after each loss!

Lrrr
Just an example, but Rovers had a video today of all the players finding out their ratings on fifa and having a laugh etc, just the small things can make a big difference, you'd expect City players are all likely playing it anyway. Buckeyed
I think they are being sensitive to the general mood at the moment - fun and laughter is well received when the club are doing well, but at the moment (as others have already said) any fun and games will lead to suggestions they aren't concentrating enough on the football. RedRock
As an example, I still can't figure out whether our Under 21's won or lost 3-2 yesterday! Think the 'Bristol Sport' website either needs to be redesigned to make navigation much simpler or just scrap it and go back to a Bristol City only website. So much for 'Bristol Sport' improving the customer interface.
Cowshed
PF "Agree, really easy to do and would be popular. I am at a loss to know what our media team is actually up to most days. You could get college or uni film/tv production students to even make us content - it's so easy to do". It would be easy to achieve and could easily have thousands signing up to watch, and use clips. Bristol City do have coaches from the Academy and Community Trust working with Junior clubs and schools.they could share these created clips. Kids in schools and clubs could watch City players perform skills on coaches I pads, and at home. One coach with an association to City does do this. The clips he used were not City players. Meanwhile other clubs are doing similar. There is a lot of scope there for BCFC and its Trust.

RedM
Anyway, I said Joe Merrith and Adam Baker should have more professional pride than putting out a piece with such a bad photo. I would be embarrassed if I were them. No excuse in this digital day and age for rubbish photos. BCFC Jimmer
I found most of the stuff last season very cringey to be honest. I don't really want to know what players favourite films are etc...The chap that asks questions in post match pressers isn't going to win any awards for journalism either I'm afraid. Same mundane boring questions and rarely provide any interesting incite.

It's Stockhausen, the BBC and ITV who should be asking probing questions. There does seem to be a bit of an apathy from the media team this year but in the same breath, people will moan about anything when the chips are down. RedM
Since their job is to be the PR face of the club what are you expecting? Exactly the reason they shouldn't use such an awful photo of Cotterill in the article then. Why not take the opportunity to show how hard the players are working in training, get some of their thoughts on how things are going. Show off some of their skills etc. Get them to talk about healthy diets and exercise, if they only get a few kids interested it might be one less obese adult in the future. They could do so much, the media team.Get the u18 and u21 players media savvy, maybe it will be a bit easier when they break into the first team and all eyes are upon them.
