CITYAREREDANDWHITE
Sorry if this has been mentioned, but I haven't seen it. How did he play in centre mid, obviously not his preferred position, and I'm sure SC didn't want to use him there this season, but it would be good to know we have another option. formerly known as ivan
What formation did we play? I thought it was still 352?
TammyAB
What formation did we play? I thought it was still 352?It was with Bryan in central midfield and Williams at wing back. I wasn't there but this is what they were saying on the radio/twitter.

That point seems even more impressive than it did 10 mins ago...I thought Williams, Flint and Baker were at the back with Ayling in midfield. In that case, how did Bryan do? cider-manc
To be honest joey was playing as wide as possible for a central midfielder. I didn't know the team at kick off and it took me 15 mins before I realised he was playing in a slightly different position.
spudski
I was expecting Reid to play CM....so this was a surprise. Wasn't their so can't comment on how Joe played or Del at wing back...although it was a lovely dink into the box by him, to set up our first chance from what I saw on the highlights. Super
Have to admit feared the worst with Korey missing but seemed him and pack did a decent job. Williams at WB probably made us more solid as he is more defensive minded than JB.
chipdawg
When JB was first coming through (and before he made that left WB role his own), I said that I could see him having a future in central midfield- good engine, good range of passing, doesn't mind putting his foot in. I doubt this will be a permanent arrangement, but I'm not suprised that it worked
Steve Watts
It was with Bryan in central midfield and Williams at wing back. I wasn't there but this is what they were saying on the radio/twitter.What do you mean, you weren't there? You mean you're not the real Kodjia? Pot pourri! I thought we were all using our real names now...Chateauneuf du Pape!
Mad Cyril
So we had Ayling, Little and Williams at wing back, and Bryan pushing out wide whenever he could?Good job Ipswich didn't attack through the middle then.
Buckeyed
I think that Williams and Ayling played further back than Little/Bryan normally play, so it was more a 532 formation.
Sargent Pepper
Coming up through the ranks Joe was a CM. I can't think who would have converted him to a FB/WB. Mcinnes or SOD?im interested to hear how Little did after fearing the worst over his recovery from injury. Any signs of him nearing 100%?

Little seems to still be a bit short of full match fitness- He looked exhausted going into the last 15 minutes. But we do (imo) look a better outfit with him in the team than without.
