Lanterne Rouge
The ball`s really starting to hold up on the surface now - England don`t seem as slick as they did.

oldstandrobin
just watched the second half on the telly, really enjoyed it especially with the commentators ref to Clive Whiteheads goal glad my season ticket is in Upper Dolman, Lower Dolman looks like a deluge when it rains
Lanterne Rouge
Credit where it`s due, JP`s city credentials were never in any doubt today! Good game too, must have been hell in those conditions. Another test for the pitch too although you don`t get many sliding tackles and things like that in the women`s game so shouldn`t have cut up too badly. Up The City!
Quite enjoyed that. There is something really refreshing about watching women's football. Ashton gate looked brilliant on TV too.
Lanterne Rouge
The standard of the top teams like England is coming on in leaps and bounds. Nice crisp one touch passing, getting it wide at every opportunity and really attacking the ball when it`s put into the box are just three things that come to mind. AG did look good and it has to be said there was a really good atmosphere. Even the band sounded good!

The Bard
Just got back. Can't remember a more one sided game of football. England got caught in the trap of overplaying when they needed to play 1 / 2 touch football to break the Bosnians down. If we'd scored early, we could've scored a lot. England goalie touched the ball once in first half I think.

Offside
I enjoyed that game, much more than I've enjoyed watching the men's team in recent years.

Looking at the Bosnian team I think some of them would appreciate a dive in the box more than a sliding tackle

Sargent Pepper
Hope it all went well today. No doubt SL and/or Bristol Sport will be keen to showcase Ashton Gate to the FA on the hope that a U21's game may get held there. Would be a great opertumity to get the new AG on the map. Lanterne Rouge
Pity it`s not like the old days when if you had a U21 game at your ground, one of your young players would be put in the squad and normally get on. A way to boost the gate obviously but fun all the same. I think Matt Hewlett once played in one at AG.
