Phileas Fogg
Can't just look at employed managers if we need one. It's a big decision to sack someone so we should be prepared to pay compensation where necessary too if the right man is found.

Robin 101
I'd still rather have cotterill than anyone else The mans earned himself time. Stop overreacting. We have made rash decisions before and we ended up at the bottom of league 1. In two years Cotterill has put right a string of rash mistakes lets not make another. City fan 1982
steve clarke for me, however this club dillys and dallys , so a bigger club will swoop and no doubt do a good job for them

If we are needing a new manager I wouldn't be against that. Bit of a risk but can't see many good/realistic candidates in the UK. Same old choices. Eddie Hitler
If we're talking employed managers then how about Steve Cotterril at Bristol City? He achieved wonders last season with a small squad without spending huge sums and then got totally shafted by the management this summer who did the worst bit of summer transfer business in memory leaving him to rely on loans to try to stay up. He must be thoroughly hacked off and would welcome the chance to join a club that can properly orchestrate a summer transfer window.

I find it strange when people say this sort of thing, you could also find examples when it's gone right! People questioned us bringing in another foreign striker after Styvar - why? If due diligence is done on scouting it's the same as any other homegrown player. Same for managers.
