May have been mentioned already but tonight could see 4 home growners in the starting eleven and possibly 3 on the bench.

Vyner made the bench on Saturday as it was but with el abd cup tied that leaves another slot.  Jo jo, vyner  and an el abd replacement and that's before considering knocks and fitness issues surrounding baker, Smith and freeman.

Ok it's a product of our recruitment failings but great experience for these boys and hopefully some of them get some invaluable minutes on the pitch.

Every cloud and all that

I remember one thicko calling for it to be disbanded a few months ago. We'll see it start to really produce in the next few years that's for sure. Some great players in the 21s.

Let's hope that you are right as at this moment in time I wouldn't say the money ploughed into it anyway justifies what we have had out of it

No evidence to say that anyone would step up, we've had many in the past that were earmarked to make the move into the first team yet haven't

The ironic thing, the better the first team do - the better the academy players need to be

We've got some great players that will definitely start appearing in the next few years providing we have a manager who uses youth players. Some have turned down top 4 prem teams to stay here. Burns, Reid and Bryan are/will be all good enough to play in this division IMHO and would cost a fair bob if we had to buy them from another team.

Agreed, Bryan's confidence is a bit shot at the moment but he has great potential, as does Burns. Reid I like a lot, know he gets stick on here but think he could be the sort of player that suits being in a better quality side as we progress, his touch and vision are good and see him as squad quality at least. Delivery isn't bad either
