ExiledAjax
Rubbish way of calculating it tbh. You could have a starting 11 consisting of 10 players born in Bristol (say 2 miles each) and one born in New Zealand (about 11,300 according to that Sky article). That would give an average of 1,029 miles per player and put you 74th. In fact you've got 10 players from your home town.

Jack Dawe
We are the People's Club of Bristol. Why, even our "investment" and tax-dodging "backing" is local. As local as it gets
Major Isewater
This makes me laugh , SOD always banged on about supporting your " local " club when for many of us our " local " club is not City .
shelts
I live in Knowle West and my local team is Mendip Broadwalk.
CotswoldRed
This is flawed. Using a birthplace can badly skew results. Be better if they chose a player's home town. If I'm born in Australia with parents on a working visa and subsequently grow up in Bristol then this has a huge bearing. Interesting despite this. Pezo
Well looking at that list (bigger clubs at the bottom and smaller clubs at the top, generally speaking) i think we should be selling Smith, Golbourne and Wes and buying some New Zealanders.
