RED4LIFE
Funny thing is, there's probably a few clubs that would release him for being too small. Thank God that clubs are starting to realise ability can be just as effective as pace and power.
LondonBristolian
it'd be fascinating to come back to this in ten years. So many kids who excel at this age end up never quite making the grade. There's still so much that depends on luck, his ability to stay focussed and committed and how he copes when he starts to come up against players in higher age groups at a stronger level than he is used to. Still, cracking talent and best of luck to him.
Sydneybcfc
Got a lot more skill now than i ever had in a lacklustre career of school yard football... Seems like he does it a little too much though, can't help but think if he doesn't control the show boating in a few years once the lads all develop physically he'll get caught out way to many times. awbb
He looks good - I suppose like everything, ball control is a wonderful asset, but is worth a hell of a lot less without composure. Not that I am a coach and some of the lads Master Hutchinson was playing with appear significantly bigger than him, but I am surprised that age group (u13?) is playing on such a large pitch. Since the drive the produce more technically gifted footballers in England, results being less important at the respective age groups, I would have thought a smaller pitch would have encouraged better technique and quickness of thought as there is less time on the ball. Having said that, none of the video suggested anyone was getting long on the ball anyway. Happy to be shot down by someone who knows!

pommers1965
my lad plays at u15 level & the difference in size of players is laughable at times... i'm 50 and i look a midget compared to some of the kids...

Natchfever
At the age of 12 nobody knows what this kid will be like even at 16. City has had 12 year olds who were amongst the best in the country for their age but they aren't even playing league football by their twenties. Also "wonderkid" ?? no pressure then.. simon uk
Wonder if he will make it.. i love skills, but its very rare that you see the barcelona and madrid players doing that on a pitch, its about pass and move and fitting in with a team pattern. TinMan's left peg
Arsenal might do better taking the pressure off him and not producing these videos http://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/feb/25/sonny-pike-football-prodigy-head-finished
Mad Cyril
If he did any of that show boating near me I would kick him six foot in the air. I would have to let him off next year though. He would be a teenager then and I could get hurt.
martin25
That kid is a promising football player. It's not a bad idea for clubs to train potential players when they are young. In fact, this is how China developed their athletes and they always make it to the top.
