May have had a few good years. Early 90s and 1969 league cup win but for the majority we have been in a higher league, had a far better record against them and they have been in League 1 and 2 since 2000. It really wasn't a "major" trophy in 1969. It was a competition in its infancy. A bit like the Full Members Cup in the 80s, if that had managed to keep going for 8 years. Lower division clubs made the league cup final in the 60s, but not the FA Cup final. They didn't make it to the final in the 70s because all the big clubs entered it every year then and wanted to win it, unlike the 60s. Rochdale made the league cup final in the 60s ffs!
