Aaaaah the game every superfan wants to see

Not me; probably wouldn't even go, but commercially and PR wise absolutely makes sense.

How so? To assuage the vocal minority would be a fool's errand.

For me, the chance to build a network with a Dutch club would be excellent - See Kodjia plucked out of Ligue 2; lets know our continental neighbours and tap in to what they may know.

The wider our commercial network, the wider 'opinion canvassing', the chance to build a relationship of well take your kids for a year you take ours, makes it worthwhile.

Perhaps we can find a better club, but Willem II have shown willing, it would be pleasing for the 'super fans', and it is pretty simple to arrange. What's to lose?

If we could link up with Bordeuax i might rather go there than Willem... But doesn't make Willem a poor choice necessarily. If it doesn't work, it's a small price and inexpensive experiment. Much less than Botswana.

Versus questionable friendlies abroad attended by less than a 100 City fans.

Those who attend tours are a tiny minority. A simple means of enlarging that minority significantly would be a trip to Tilburg.

Portugal was class. Wouldn't mind going there again. Although the club will probably end up going to Botswana again.

Wish City would announce it further in advance so people could book holiday with their work.

Didn't we get promoted on the back of the Botswana pre season, with what appeared to be one of the most unified squads any of us can recall?

Seem to remember the YouTube videos told a really positive story as well.

Exactly. The support levels are modest (!!!). If City want more fans to attend more thought for supporters is required. Its already too late to maximise support this year due to the amount of City fans heading to France for Euro 2016.

A tour to the Netherlands / Belgium - Willem II / Antwerp, or others would be great with thought.

Apparently a discussion/decision will not happen until they are certain which division we will be in next season........

Do you reckon we would've done better this season had we gone to Botswana instead of Portugal? I don't think the location of pre season training camps matter as much as a lot of people seem to believe. Good recruitment however (like we had in that summer) does.
