redsince66
List the 3 (realistic) players you'd love to see in a red shirt next season. Mine are: 1. Jay Emmanuel Thomas 2. Patrick Bamford 3. Bradley Dack Obviously I would love Tomlin and Baker but I mean currently unaffiliated players.

The other two however, especially Bamford.

pongo88
I was going to suggest 3 players but then realised I was stumped by trying to define "realistic". City have survived this season with help from players on loan, who currently earn more than the average City player. This isn't surprising as most of the City squad are ex lower league or academy plus one from France. If next season's salary budget means we've got to sign low earners, then we have one list of players, and we're in for another relegation fight. Hopefully this season has shown that the salary budget must increase which means we have a better list and it's onwards and upwards. Over to you Steve L. Phileas Fogg
Yes, Famara Diedhiou, because everyone had watched enough of him live to make an informed judgement Kemar Roofe (seems to have more about him than Dack, Ashton connection could help) Ross Wallace (always plays well against us, very good championship player and good set piece taker, versatile too) Adam Armstrong (OK, probably unrealistic especially if Newcastle come down, but if we're going to pay big money for someone we could do a lot worse. Really good young player.)
Chairman Mao
Right Back (Matthews) Right Wing (No Clue) Left Wing (No Clue) Centre Back (No Clue, Rather a bloke who is quick and reads the game well than Baker tbh, not that he will stay anyway) Backup Striker (Assuming Agard sold) Central Defensive Midfielder (Paddy McNair Loan for example or CM Bradley Dack) One of the wingers can be promising and the other more experienced. Backup striker on Loan and CDM either on Loan or with experience would be good.

ExiledAjax
@redsince66 I tip my hat to you for kicking off some cracking threads recently. From blaming Andre Gray for our relegation worries, to suggesting we might sign fatty-slow-pornstache-hippy-cracky Agbonlahor from Villa, they've truly brightened up my week. But please. Really, you need to stop this! Bringing JET back after the season he's had...this is simply top-drawer trolling.

I guarantee hardly anyone on here has watched anymore than 2 or 3 games of the players they've listed but they've said them due to reputation or current form, which is what I've based my reasoning on. He's scored more goals than Kodjia in Ligue 2 with more assists and he's only 23, don't know much more than that but those stats alone speaks for itself, obviously a decent player. Lrrr
Do people really think Bamford is a realistic target? The guy has been at a few top end championship clubs and they tried to get him a premier league loan for this season, no way he drops to a club who are likely to be mid table next season. hertsexile
We need to realistic and not get taken for a ride. There are far too many over paid prima donnas out there. I agree with LJ about signing young hungry players that want to play football Anyway could we afford Bamfords wages. Kodjia is still learning and will get better 18 goals is a good return for a first season.
JoeAman08
Bobby Wood, James Forrest, and Tom Carroll. Realistic? Think last 2 are OOC and Wood is an up and coming star I think. Shown promise for USA but was born in Germany so no work permit issues.
