Either I'm misreading your post, our you have the seasons muddled up. Last away game last year was doing the conga at Chesterfield.

Rovers went non-league in 2014, when we were indeed away to Crawley.

Obviously travelling on coach 1 does things to your mind/memory! :shocking::rofl2br:

You're right, after reading the section 82 thread today my brain is fuddled! Maybe I should try to book another trip, there are things that I'd love to be able to forget.

Psst, bring your own wheel nuts and if you have a tyre hanging around with a bit of tread still on it, you will be most welcome if you take it along, they've struggled along for half the season with a front nearside wheel missing, the regulars are a bit fed up of all piling in on the rear right hand corner trying to balance the bloody thing up a bit... Some people have got 'very friendly' apparently while taking advantage of the situation and the occasional unwary stranger though.

I worked for z cars in the early eighties and drove coach one to I think it was Darlington, I have never been the same since, and still having therapy!

We used to use CATS all the time back in the 80's, always liked it when we got a z cars coach ( or the mad Frier/Fryer (?) one.) Never got on the elusive coach One though, and no never been to Darllington either.

One season didn't Z cars  set up a rival service as you lost the contract to Peter Carol? We ditched CATS and had some great away days, must be all of 25 years ago.

Yes you are right, I was part time and used to get the jobs no one else wanted. I remember one dark dreary Saturday driving right up north after being told I could watch the match, only to be escorted to an industrial estate miles away which made avonmouth look like stoke bishop. ....ah the memories!!

@Izza, you do get told which seats to sit in though, the regulars all have their own places and like to sit with their friends. Like I said the moment they all produce their various mugs and china cups is a bit strange, no a lot strange. Think hot drinks were something like 20p a cup, but we had a free one on the way back as the Gas were relegated!

I thought they would be a bit 'bad luck, sorry to hear you were relegated' towards the Gas, but they absolutely hate them, really slagging them off, it was quite funny.

Its an experience you won't forget!

This happens on coach 2 as well.
