Some clubs stopped having stripes on the back of shirts a couple of years ago
Rudolf Hucker
The comment from Stoke has a familiar sound: "However, we have retained our red and white stripe DNA on part of the back and incorporated red letters and numbers to complement the shirt.” Are the FA running a course in DNA? Lrrr
Making them all white panels will look awful, why can't they just say a plain panel of any colour as long as text/number is clear.

One Team In Keynsham
Makes sense to make every team have the same pair of kits, 1 for home, 1 for away. To ensure no conflicts, something like red/white/red for home and white/black/white for away would work.

Because I watch City live and they obviously don't have stripes it's not easy to comment on the visibility of numbers on striped shirts. That said for UEFA must have had complaints from officials regarding the mater and UEFA has subsequently issued guidelines. Remember that UEFA covers the whole of European football, not just us and I have no idea how numbers show on stripped shirts in others countries. Do you? "block colours" FIFA made a recommendation that kits either be all bright or all dark colours. Wasn't forced so Brazil did have a choice in the matter. TBW
Do what they do in the NFL and have a flat colour kit for home games and a flat white kit for away games. No clashes then. Get rid of stripes.
