SOD off to Oldham

SoD is a deep thinker on the game but unfortunately he seems inflexible with his views on how things should be done including a style of play.

He was sacked not just of poor results but becaus he failed to agree with SL who was keen to take the squad to Africa but SoD refused because he was concerned about playing against amatuers who might end up injuring our players. I would argue that that was a legitimate concern but was that enough reason not to allow the trip?  When Cotterill was in charge they all went to Botswana and then pissed the league and won the Mickey Mouse cup.

This time it's a trip to Spain.....

SoD was a disaster for this club, a complete square peg in a round hole but in this case his words did ring true. Osborne was never the same after some Botswanan amateur decided to take a massive chunk of his shin home with him as a souvenir. Thank god it wasn't someone like JET at the time
