BRISTOL86
Want to take lady Bristol86 out on Sunday for a roast - where does a good one in Bristol? To clarify - not the 'stand in a non moving line for 30 minutes to get 3 hour old food that's been sat under heat lamps' type but a place with table service! ForeverRed
A bit further afield, but the Rising Sun at Frampton Cottrell is fantastic, and the Cross House at Doynton was always pretty decent
WhistleHappy
Interesting that out of probably hundreds of local eateries in the region an old short rhyme of *seven relatively remote local places includes two of the recommendations here.... Hinton, *Dinton, Dyham, & Doynton .. Abson, Pucklechurch and Wick. ..... (but two out of six aint bad is it?) ( *.. don't think 'Dinton' actually exists locally)

'any friend of Steve's is a friend of mine' kind of thing... he'll probably want the biggest slice of the cake but he'll give great advice on the best way to 'share' the rest. Red DNA
The Red Lion out at Bishop Sutton does a fantastic Sunday lunch. The Crown at Regil (Winford area) is also quite good. If if you want a cheape, but very good value and somewhere different...........try Brackenwood Garden Centre at Abbots Leigh. Only bottled beer and cider but you can buy her some nice flowers as well!
