054123
On the 9.30 train up this Saturday. Never been by train before, what's the best way to get there?
Admin phantom Posted September 2, 2016 Admin Report Share Posted September 2, 2016 @054123 assume that you are going from the Westcountry? If so the easiest way would be to change at Reading, then get a train to Twickenham station - they leave Reading roughly every half hour, yes they will be busy but they are used to catering for crowds on this service so won't be over the top When you come out of Twickenham station (turn right) I would say the ground is slightly less than a mile, takes about 10 minutes to walk to the ground, one straight road and fairly flat. If you are looking for a pint etc before the game, when you come out of the station (turn left) head away from the stadium, there are two decent pubs. The Cabbage Patch and slightly further a Wetherspoons called The William Web Ellis - there is also a Burger King opposite here
cidercity1987
If you are drinking on the way take a bottle to piss in. You won't find a way through to the toilet on the Twickenham train.

Ta everso. @Erithacus The nearest Underground station is Hounslow East on the Piccadilly Line, it is roughly a 30 minute walk When you leave the tube station turn left into Kingsley Road, when you get to a T junction turn left, walk past The Saigon restaurant, take the second right into Bridge Road, then third turning on the right into Farnell Road, follow this to the end, again turn right into Hall Road (you will be able to see the ground now), go past five roads on the left hand side, you'll then see a path going to the left called Glen Walk, this path then leads you to the ground
