I recently had a toasted with choose any three fillings from a list of many. Under pressure I had to order quick So I ordered chilli cheese, black pudding and beetroot. Yes the waitress did look like I was mad.

Don't try this at home. It was not great.

That sounds disgusting - it must have looked like an explosion in an abattoir as well.

Oh yeah... made with slightly less water than normal too.

I have not had a pot noodle since I was a student.

I did, however, master the chicken and mushroom variety.

As Laner rightly says, the timing and quantity of ingredients is absolutely CRITICAL.

Too much water and it turns to soup.

Too little water, and you are eating dust.

It absolutely has to be the specific perfect amount of water.

Rarely have I known a product so water quantity sensitive.

Honestly, the Three Bears would have been in their element ..............

Worthy of it's own thread, really, this topic.

Mashed potatoe sandwiches

I will allow your post, Tomarse - partly in the interest of free speech, and party as an olive branch after the years of hostility between us.

I would say, however, that you weird choice of sandwich is clearly going to be extremely sensitive to the type of bread used.

Normal sandwich-thread protocol dictates one states "mashed potato (no 'e') sandwich on ..... white bloomer / rye / granary / pumpernickel etc.

You need something than can stand up to the soggy mash without being destroyed.

As I often advise people: "think", before posting.

A good first attempt though Tomarse.

Unfortunately I am not a mayo fan so as someone who spends a lot of days on the road and hits the meal deals frequently I have quite an apathy to every sandwich seemingly having mayo in it...

I am fond of a ham, strong cheddar and mozzarella sarnie. Thick toastie bread and slapped in the George Forman
