Cook just had a LBW reviewed having been given out and the ball was missing leg. Dharmasera having a bit of mare as umpire. Must be 3 or 4 he's got wrong.

It's been a series of reviews. That said they've been two really enjoyable tests.. a lot to be said about low scoring games. Bangladesh are a few lower order batsmen away from being a tidy side.

Sri Lanka were the test minnows when they first got Test Match status but just like Bangladesh they learnt very quickly. Employing former International cricketers helped tremendously of course.

They lack any classy seamers largely because their domestic cricket wickets are spinner friendly. They have Courtney Walsh as their seam bowling coach but he can't have many to work with.

Getting some of their seamers English county cricket experience would help as well not just for bowling in different conditions but lower order batting as well.

What's the point of Finn. How many more chances is he going to get?

Ballance and Finn hopefully never seen in England shirts again.

India tour ain't going to be pretty at this rate

Completely agree Buttler needs to come in. Pathetic after being 100-0.

it looked like a cabbage patch.

Same for both teams - except that they are far more used to "cabbage patches" than England were.

Fair play to them for preparing pitches to suit their strengths, something England still don't do. Why not? I have no idea.

It'll be the same in India.Spinning wickets at every venue.

Oh I agree RR, but I would have thought that there was a minimum requirement?.

1-1 seems a fair result in the series. They played to their strengths- we get them over in early season when the ball is nipping about so arguably we have a big home field advantage over say Bangladesh and WI in particular- conditions in the UK early season resemble nothing like ones opponents are used to in most cases, fairly unique and that's exacerbated by the weakness these days of Bangladesh and WI in particular.

Anyway, recalling Gareth Batty was odd and desperate (though he had an ok game)- why not Leach, too soon? Excellent and on turning pitches at that especially as the season went on. Desperation, winning there in the ODI series WAS a good result, their home record of late is/was excellent in that format. Chasing 270 odd in Asia on a turning track is always difficult so not too surprised that we lost but the collapse was really poor.
