All recent signings post Wright haven't gone through as SL is contemplating sacking LJ, definitely, hopefully, possibly, probably not.

Or... the players involved are taking their time to see what offers they get during the transfer window, just like most other January windows.

It would be remarkable if SL hadn't contemplated replacing LJ, but the 'project' signings would likely continue unabated.

Or they are waiting to see who the City manager will be the day after they sign. Liam Kelly signed and SoD was sacked the next day

Out where?  Both on pretty decent money I guess.  Not sure how long left on contracts.  They can't just be binned off.

Loan, dropped, I don't know, wherever LJ thinks is best. In the last 2 home games, we've had 7 shots against us on target, and conceded 6 times. If we don't have a keeper that can actually stop the ball from going in the net then one players contact will be the last of our worries. Cut your losses and all of that.

So that entails being able to find a club to take them and pick up their wages. It's not that easy.

Drop them then, I'd rather add another 10k a week on to the wage bill than lose 175k revenue a week due to being in League 1 and getting 13k crowds.

Just drop them?  Great way to advertise Ashton Gate as the place to come to develop your potential.

This isn't a Playstation game. Perhaps one of the main issues is we already have TOO MANY.  If you have six Keepers on your books, how effective can the coaching be?  How can you ensure your first choice gets concentrated and focused specialist coaching whilst your number 2 keeper gets the right development.

People often ask me what I'm on about when I say back the manager because the problems are elsewhere in the club.  This is a prime example.

I thank God everyday for the financial backing of SL, but maybe if he wasn't so monied up we'd actually have to focus on making sensible and sustainable decisions about squad personnel and the club in general.

FFP means we need to build a sustainable club.  The Kodj money is great but who we can't rely on that with our model.

So no, we can't just drop them.

Obviously it isn't ideal but what we have simply is NOT good enough. Our keepers just are not good enough.

We have 6 on our books but that isn't a fair representation of how our goalkeepers train. They're not all crammed in to the same 60 minute session and fight over who gets the most 1 on 1 training. We have the facilities to have another goalkeeper if we need it.

The rest doesn't really apply to the situation but I agree with it.
