LondonBristolian Posted February 7, 2017 Report Share Posted February 7, 2017 It's a tough one. It shouldn't have stood but would have been harsh on the scoring team. The keeper seems to be focused on the shot from the actual player and trying to save it and I'm far from convinced that, had the pitch invader not been there, the end result would have been any different. That said, it still should be a drop ball though. I'm not sure to what extent the referee can be blamed for missing it at the time as he had to focus on where the ball was and I can easily how he could have thought it was another player running in but one of the assistants should have seen someone encroach onto the pitch and be able to explain to the referee afterwards exactly what happened.
