What was your most adrenaline filled, mad lose your shit moment with City? **** the modern DNA, I hate it.

Mine, physiologically was actually Hartlepool.

I'm not a fighter but had a good time at Cardiff once with everyone off their tits.

Please tell ....

Umm, seem to vaguely remember something a bit exciting happening one Tuesday night vs Portsmouth around the mid-seventies. Somehow a few of us (probably a million or so at least) found ourselves on the pitch looking up into the Grandstand cheering some old fella called Harry and some other blokes...

This pic seems to ring a bell, but I dunno, 'twas yonks ago, seem like a lifetime...

Best crazy moment? Hartlepool play off when Roberts scored the winner. I was in the old Luckwell Club at the time. Honestly, the roof might as well of collapsed because everyone lost their shit. Grown men crying, kids singing. Just an amazing atmosphere.

Best footballing day of my life 27th December 2001, Cardiff city 1 Bristol city 3.

Loved it for many reasons. I hate Cardiff, the atmosphere was the most intense I've ever watched city play in, build up pre match was amazing was with all my mates and it was the day I realised that was the day as a17 year old that I couldn't live without bristol city!!

The whole of extra time against Palace in the second leg of the play off semi-final in 2008. The atmosphere was intense and when Trundle scored a pearler followed by McIndoe's long range free kick Ashton Gate just went mental and the loudest I have ever heard it!

Getting one over Warnock never felt so sweet. And he couldn't even blame the ref (Howard Webb) as they missed a penalty in normal time...

Exactly this I was one of those millions on the pitch, a great time to be a fan and loved going to football back then, saluting  a great team/squad and manager who cared for our club and still do.......unlike some of todays ilk who are only here for the money/pay cheque.

Louis Donawa scoring the winner against Rovers was pretty good. Also beating Hereford in the semi final at Ashton Gate was something special back in the day.  A day out at Wembley was a big deal back then.

It sure was I was 14 and BCFC we're on the way to Wembley. So excited we slept at AG in my mates Dad's van (Along with 100's of others camping) it was crazy

After picking up the trophy we were allowed a few sherbets and cans so can't remember postmatch.

At my worst for plenty of lively games against, The Gas, Swindon, Millwall, Oxford, Villa, Most Anglo Welsh & West Ham to name just a few

Good times - COYR

This was great night, although after scoring early it was a nervous occasion! For sheer intensity it just has to be the Hartlepool game.

Been mentioned on numerous threads over the years

Martyn Hirsts winner at Eastville against the Sags in the FA Cup

Maybe the moment back in those tough days we supporters felt we had hope and saw a chink of light

'One nil down , two one up.......'

A proper explosion of joy !

League Cup Quarter Final 1989 away at Bradford City midweek - we scored in the first minute, absolute bedlam. We had seven matches in January 1989 (including three Cup games) - we lost the other six, including 0-1 at home to the gas, but this little nugget was buried in the middle of them!

FA Cup 2nd Round 1983 away at Rovers - Martyn Hirst, absolute bedlam! We were on our way back!

Swindle when we thrashed them 3-0, all the pent up hate and rage about that orrible little club came through that day. Couldn't of been more perfect to be honest.

More recently Reading away was a toughie, our season was starting to falter and referee's making awful decisions.

Has to be Liverpool home 38,000 plus, another 10,000 locked out, have to win to have any hope of staying up.

Liverpool already league Champions and were 1/0 down.

Two Garland goals (both diving headers from Whitehead crosses I think? or I may be loosing it!!)

The whole ground going mental. all singing City,City,City  in unison is something ill never forget.

I remember going absolutely mental when McCombe scored a last minute headed equaliser at the Atyeo end when we played Palace at home in 2008. Must have been close to the last touch of the game and the whole place came unglued.... miss those days

I don't know why this one has always stuck out for me but it was the 26th of December 1998. We were at home to Milwall. Earlier in the season we had gone on a good run after anthe up and down start but when we moved into 2nd we were still 10 points behind Watford. A couple of pundits had said we would never close that gap.

Just before half time against Milwall, Rob Edwards had scored from a header and I think we were 2-1 or 2-0 up. The word filtered around that Watford were a goal down and we'd just gone top of the league. The place went mental and for the rest of the match the atmosphere was brilliant. The game ended 4-1 to us.

Remember that game.We were coming up from Devon Me my mate and our sons.

Went to pick him up and he's laid on the floor with his back F.....

So took the two boys up, and was it Mickey Bell that curled the free kick into the top corner at the Atyeo end or Tinman?

Swindon in the 80's.

I hate that horrible scummy town and club (had to live there for 3 years...shudder)

Just before the game where trouble flared all afternoon, I was in the public bogs on way to ground on my own - 3 swindle came in and one lad thumped me twice in the back of the head while I was having a slash. My mates were about 20m away down the road and were in no position to help.

The arseholes ran out straight after hitting me.

Karma - about 1 hr after the game we saw this bloke coming out of a chippy - it did not end well for him.  I've never really got 'stuck in' viciously at football, but this coward had it coming (and it was one on one, my mates were told to stay out of it unless more Swindon turned up).

I'm embarrassed now, but at the time gave me great satisfaction, especially as one-on-one he wasn't as 'tough' as he was 3 on 1 earlier.

That Donowa goal was a fantastic moment - pandemonium in the central section of the EE, especially with the goal coming after Hollowhead's penalty miss.

Another one that stands out for me is the 5-4 win at Mansfield. I've never experienced euphoria like that at any other "normal" league game. From that moment when Roberts scored the winner onwards (wild celebrations in the away end, trouble in the car park afterwards, journey home, phoning my dad who had switched off the radio commentary when we went 4-2 down and still thought we had lost) everything was a happy blur. I'm still so glad I went to that game.

Special mention also goes to Flint getting his hat-trick in the 8-2 thrashing of Walsall. That's still my kids' favourite game. The uniqueness of a defender getting three goals topped off a fab day in a game that had been a bit flat at the start. Lots of happy singing in the Hen and Chicken afterwards as well.

I was in the home stand for that game, due to being drunk on Xmas Eve and accepting the offer of a season ticket from my Cardiff supporting mates (one of them couldn't make the game, but what they didn't tell me was that my seat was away from the other two mates....!). Typical City; when I'm hoping for a dull 0-0, they overturn a 1-0 deficit, romp to a glorious away victory and I can't celebrate any of the goals. I'm not sure what was worse, having to politely applaud the Cardiff goal or not celebrate any of ours. Still I did get away unscathed and it was actually more dangerous in the away end, I wasn't in the stand where all the real nutters were.

Paul Mardon scoring at Forest league cup semi.....pandemonium

The correct answer. A complete (and none too fragrant) stranger kissed me!

The away game at Watford in the 97-98 promotion season when Shaun Goater ran from his own half, towards the 3000 of us behind the goal and put us 1-0 up was pretty good too, it felt like we sucked the ball into the net.

Was my first experience in being drenched in p**s!! I naively asked my mate , why is that Cardiff fan peeing in his coke bottle? The next minute there were Probaly 10/15 bottles chucked at us and it was so jammed in the away end you just had to let it hit you!!

Ah well it was worth it though!

Lee Matthews has never hit a ball so sweet.

Agree with many of the memories on here. But for us oldies surely it has to be "that game" at Coventry to stay in the top division and send Sunderland down. Unbelievable, never seen anything like it, last 15 mins or so at 2-2 neither team wanted to attack, over 15000 City fans ecstatic and even more Coventry as well. A quite astonishing experience and all on the pitch at the end!

Tammy vs Burton earlier this season! On the train home I made comments such as;

"There isn't a better defensive partnership than Flint and Maggers"

"Tammy will go to Russia 2018"

"Good teams play poorly and win"

"We'll definitely make play-offs, it's just whether we can put a run together and aim higher"

Donowa goal for me, after years of not beating the Gas.  Made even better because Holloway missed a pen.  Never had the same emotion since that goal... It all went into slow motion when the ball ballooned up off of Parkin, and it is the only time I have lost my voice at a football match.

The second wasn't a diving header, it was a straight forward header from a cross that Clemence should have caught but made a hash of.

But agree with you, a great occasion. I recall everyone clapping Liverpool onto the pitch that Monday night as they had won the League Championship two days earlier. Just over a week later they won their first European Cup. It has to be admitted that they did rest Keegan and Joey Jones for the City match with the FA Cup Final and European Cup Final their next two fixtures.
