Deluded as ever.

"Injection of energy" I don't think the **** knows the meaning of this! Certainly didn't see this from where I was standing..

He didn't say he saw an injection of energy. He said we needed it at half time...he didn't say we got it. He said it gives him a simple selection for the next game. I suggest GoN and Reid will be playing. Like that's going to make much difference. I think we might be fecked...

As frustrated as I am with him right now, the performance did lack energy and bite. You can also add to that, enthusiasm, pressing and movement off the ball. Pretty much all of the basics of a "performance" were missing tonight.

Fulham closed us down quickly and smothered our options. Credit them for that, but they didn't have to work very hard for the 3pts.

I've supported him until recently. After 8 days to get his tactics right why did we only play with 2 central midfielders against a team that try to pass through you, then drag joe inside after about twenty minutes gone and push Taylor out wide ?

I agree , I think we're down .

Welcome to the club, you sort of feel better when you accept the inevitable, has a cleansing effect.

You obviously know what you're talking about, would you keep him in Div 3, honest question.

I was sooooo pissed off tonight and have come to the conclusion that I got far too heated at the game because I absolutely adore this club. I have also come to the conclusion that I cannot bear to watch this useless pillock kill the club I, and we, love.

Yes, I voiced my displeasure this evening but came out of the ground absolutely seething!

I won't watch our team again while this useless piece of bull*hit spinning crap is in charge. After 42 seasons, he has driven me away. Sack him and I will be back like a shot but I CAN'T WATCH ANY MORE OF THIS RUBBISH.

Ticket for the Toon wasted as is a ticket for Villa.

**** OFF JOHNSON!!

I don't have the answer mate. I personally don't think our situation is purely down to LJ though.

We may make a change...it may work, it may not.

Right now I don't know what to think, Like I said in another post, I feel punch drunk.

I never think giving a credible answer straight after an awful performance is easy or worthwhile.

Fans frustrations are up...debating properly is futile. It's heated and toxic...and people go after one another. It's not healthy.

Appeared to me that the 'full and frank discussion ' in the dressing room had left him wobbling

Indeed. I thought the interesting bit was where he implied the squad was broken into cliques and "maybe we should all socialise together more".

So, it appears it's not so much he's "lost the dressing room" but he's allowed squad unity to split and team spirit to evaporate.

Nice guy Lee, but not one of nature's inspirers...

Thanks for the response, difficult know what to think.  I've no idea (I never have though).

Take a breather and I'll look out for your future posts hoping that someone may have a plan to get us out of this!

I'd be interested if you were at the game (I wasn't, listening on player) are they still playing for him, is it the tactics or is the talent not good enough?  I know your views on the defence!  Seems from a distance we're just a group of players and not a team, again this is from commentary results etc etc.

or perhaps TOO nice??! :dunno:

Think he blows hot and cold RR - think underneath he's a decent bloke but I don't think he can handle some of the players who don't respect him and think you may find the stress rockets and he likes throwing hand grenades and speaks in a way that certainly upsets players

Wasn't able to make the game tonight fella, more important things to deal with. Had commentary on. Hence my subdued responses. Can't really give a proper view having not watched the game.

I only heard a bit of the interview whilst driving home, just can't bring myself to watch it fully right now. But from what I heard this could be his SoD moment.

A McInnes moment I think. The I will play the kids statement got him fired. LJ's we all need to go and have a drink comment about clique's in HIS dressing room says it all!

A large part of me feels sorry for him because there's no doubt this was the job he wanted. It was all going so well for a short while. Can't defend him though. He's not the sole reason for the state we're in but you can't excuse 1 win in 15+ league games.

I always feel this way about managers. No matter how bad we're doing, usually I can't bring myself to resent them and more often than not I question whether the players are doing enough. Unless it's a manager that ***** us over, like Coppell.

Think you'd have been horrified Spud , from our set up ,  our lack of adjustment tactically , lack of effort in ( some ) players at least, giving away possession , failing to press , playing keepball when we needed to turn them occasionally

It was horrific mate

I can't think of a better word

You we're lucky to miss out mate

Don't think Lee Johnson is vile, or arrogant, just a guy in the wrong job. The blokes on the pitch aren't exactly delivering either. The whole setup seems badly wrong and it's funny how players seem to be happier and find their skills when they move to other clubs. That IS down to bad management. Hard to see how the squad can recover without strong new leadership.

I've no idea where to the post this....there's quite a choice of threads.

Last night's performance was one of the most lacklustre and tactically inept I've seen in 30 years.  Fulham were pretty good but someone must have paid them to keep the score sensible.  City were in such disarray that a decent team might have walked 5 goals into our net.  At times, I couldn't work out if we were only playing about 7 outfield players - nobody closed down and nobody supported going forward.  It was really, really bad.

For the first time this season, we looked broken.  As soon as Fulham scored their first goal it was clearly all over.

Lee Johnson will go.  He won't turn this around.  Sometimes the performance is far more significant than the result and last night proved that the players have had enough.  What worries me now is whether the next first team coach or manager will be able to lift this squad to get the three or four wins that we need.  If we don't don't get that honeymoon period then we should be relegated - we're really no better than Rotherham.

Worth listening to his pre match I/v too - waffling on about stat tables and how they  show we are an aggressive attacking threat or words similar was a classic quote

The interview screamed Deluded and bullshit

Add it to his post match interview adds up to a comical farce

You know what ? I can believe that they are exhausted even with 8 day's rest because when you are depressed it hangs like a wet, black woolen cloak dragging you down into the mire and sapping every ounce of light and energy out of you .

These lads need help quickly and SL must absolutely bring in a new head coach to release them from their and our agony.

Vile man. Abhorrent arrogant bastard.

Emotions are very raw at the moment because we all care the club do much, and it's obvious that you do.

But comments like this are unnecessary and unfair and are usually spouted about men like Warnock, Allardyce, Pearson and Redknapp by people on here who haven't a clue about their real personalities.

Lee has just really struggled in a job for which he wasn't ready....that's all

I know it wouldn't have been as full out as a league match but didn't he say they had a match up st the training pitches Saturday. The one advantage we had was we had played at the weekend and then they do this

Just highlighting some lines from this post-match interview:

“We were just too far off them – that was the bit that was frustrating,” - Like we are every game

“Not at any point do we say ‘let’s sit deep and let people play" - Well we've been allowing that all season, and at no point have you coached the players to apply pressure to the opposition.

“I understand the fans’ frustration because the players and myself are the same." - Not sure I agree with that, it's the same week in week out.

“In the first half, although we were down on possession, opportunities were probably even." - Are you have a giraffe?

“The fans were obviously disappointed at half-time but we tried to give it an injection of energy, because that was lacking – the bite to get close to somebody." - Tried to? What was so different in the second half?

“It gives me a very simple team selection for Saturday because we need that bite in midfield." - Unless you've reincarnated Norman Hunter in his younger days, it does not matter what team you put out, they do not want to play for you.
