Erm, this seems too easy not to be a practical joke, but I'll take the bait. Paddington to Temple Meads (every half hour) and walk for 20-30 minutes, or if you really love trains Paddington to either Parkway or Temple Meads and change for Parson Street. Or if you want to save money and really really love trains Waterloo to Temple Meads which takes about four hours and you have to get out and move farm animals twice. @Never to the dark side how did I do? What type of farm animals? Goats and sheep are fine but cows are a deal breaker and turkeys are frankly petrifying. Bernard Matthews has balls of steel.
