Red Skin
Of course City fans travel away in numbers to support the team. This is at a huge cost to us supporters with little (if any) financial benefit to the club we follow. - Should the home club get all the ticket money that City fans stump up? Should City get some percentage as a reward for having fans willing to travel and support them? (I'm assuming the club get some cash for admin for selling tickets at our end). - Why should we have to pay over inflated prices at some away grounds e.g. QPR. Shouldn't we at least enjoy the same pricing structure we get at home i.e. concessions for members, season ticket holders, oaps, kids etc. Surely when ticket are sold through BCFC concession could be validated. Should BCFC get more of a wedge of what afterall is their own fans cash? Or should we be happy the share out the cash and help the Swindons of this world? Never to the dark side
I would like to see a better system. When you think of teams like Sheff Wednesday and last season QPR. Maybe if we all bought away tickets in advance from the City shop then the club would know how much money to send to the club we are visiting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Redminster
← The big problem with this is - if the away club are bringing 1000's of fans and the home club are not getting any extra money to accommodate them, why should they bother accommodating them at all? Take Sheff Weds - if it was between us and them on the last day of the season to take the Championship at Hillsborough and they weren't getting any revenue to house our 1000's of fans in the Leppings Lane End, they'd surely just sell the tickets to their fans and lock us out? Pretty conceivable if you ask me.....
22A
Visiting clubs used to get some of the gate money in the good old days of a 92 club, 4 division Football League. The money was split three ways between the two teams concerned and the third portion went to the League. At the end of the season all the third portions were added together, then split equally amongst all 92 clubs. If an extra 10,000 turned up at Anfield it helped Doncaster and if an extra 100 turned up at Hartlepool it benefitted Chelsea. A year or two before the Prem was formed the (then) big clubs pushed it through that all clubs would be self supporting in future.

Rich club getting richer and poor clubs getting poorer. Sharing the cash is the only option, but still think that fans of more forward looking clubs like BCFC should pay their "home" prices.
