I liked the touch of not putting the visitor's name on the programme cover. Inside instead of the usual eight pages devoted to the visiting team, there was just one which listed their names. During the game the scoreboard only showed the visitors as MK, the Dons part was omitted. The result was icing on the cake and puts AFC six points above that other lot.

There was an article in The Times stating in the early 1970's, Leeds were not attracting crowds as large as was expected. Back then they considered an offer to move to MK as locals assured Leeds, MK would generate higher attendances that Leeds did.
