Eric's brother was signed one transfer deadline day by P'boro'. The local paper ran the headline "Posh sign Cantona" and sold loads that evening. Joel Cantona made a substitute appearance and was then subbed himself!

As an aside, the Football League received a fax on BCFC headed paper stating City had signed Eric Cantona. The FL rang City to confirm this and found some wind up merchant had acquired a sheet of City's headed notepaper. The clue was the fee; just £750!
