Let me explain defending to you Super old bean , There is ' man marking ' where a defender is allocated an attacking player and shadows him all over . Then there is ' Zonal ' marking where the defender is allocated a zone to mark and then there is 'shit ' marking which we seem to have mastered.

This really smacks of the mentality about outrunning an attacking tiger.  You can't, you only have to be faster than those around you.  So we don't have to be any good - just not as crap as three other teams.  How uplifting.....
