Mark Little

I say this half seriously, but would want to keep him if we go down...

I've thought about it. Maybe. I suppose we'd have to see what the other options were. But if LJ is still around I don't think he'll be here. Anyway with his contract up and no offer on the table I assume his agent is being a busy bee. He'd be a good acquisition for the Gas.

Excellent today.

I love his effort and honesty, pisses all over gutless wasters like Adam Matthews.

indeed, Mathews has so much more natural talent, but chooses not to use it.  I wonder where Mark Little would be with Mathews talent.

I guess that is what makes a top footballer, and why Bristol City rarely see them

Did well. At the time I thought nailed on pen . Saw it on the box tonight and thought it was soft. Played well though, never got all this Mark Little hate thing

Hate is a strong word  , Lits has done well today and has been good at times while here, but if people don't like him that doesn't make it hate , overdoing it

How can anyone hate one of Cottierls boys? Every one of them goes down in history. Love em all.

Yeah, on TV it looks a bit like they're running side by side and he goes down a bit easy

I was on the dolman side. It looked like their player was trying to run accross littles line and bolck him off. Definately pen for me :). Agreed it looks softer on tv.

I believe the ability is there, but he tends to be shot away mentally. Today, he realised that he could impact the game and he did just that. Very happy for him.

Nothing like watching him bulldoze up the right wing. Hope he can 'switch on' from now.

Better late than never.

Mark's an athlete, isn't he? Pretty good sprinter, strong, balanced.

Where he misses out is the "football brain": often makes the wrong decisions, speed of reactions/anticipation not as good as a really great player.

But those saying he's not Championship standard are well wide of the mark. On his day, he can be really handy.

Let us not beat around the bush; he was excellent today.

I'm not going to sit here and claim he's the best right back since the position was created, but he's the best 'specialist' in that role we currently have, and puts himself on the line for Bristol City:

Excellebt organisation too; kept Brownhill on task and his wing from behind a threat to our score.

ML did great and he will be in on Friday. Doubt 'step - over' Freebie will take him on but agree with earlier comment about all Cott's boys go down as a memorable team we were lucky enough to see. We saw 7 of them in a red shirt yesterday so maybe they are all developing 2 years on?

Matt Smith may give Flinty some worrying moments and Hollowhead should enjoy his visit as little as he says he does. Give 'im Hell!

Matthew will need a summer to sort out his head or he can go. We have other options too in Corey, Vytner, Taylor More so donating this is aware to overly worry about

Well played Little and the diet and fitness training are paying off.

Read it as you want. When the chips are down he goes to someone else's players.

IMO

What other option did he have? Stick with Korey who is better as a midfielder, or go back to a youth player while we are fighting relegation.

Matthews has been dire and doesn't deserve to play another game for us, while at least earlier on in the season Little gave it all.

Also don't see the point in using a thread saying well done to a particular player for their performance as a reason to have a dig at the manager, seems very petty.

A player that is limited in footballing ability but high in effort and physicality.  When he is happy with his shoulder (a big issue) for someone who plays the way he does his game will move up. He has his place, for certain games against certain opponents.

I believe he will get better again when that dislocated shoulder injury feels 100% right in Marks head

I've mentioned on here before that I also suffered a shoulder injury and it took a year to get over it.

It's still not 100% but i no longer have pain . What really screws you over though is that you sleep really badly . Firstly you have to immobilise the joint so as you're not pressing on it then finally  you drop off you turn in your sleep and wake yourself up in agony .

The lack of sleep makes you tired, grumpy and stressed . You don't function anywhere near your capacity .

So for an athlete it must have been a nightmare . I agree with what's been said ,a limited player but I'd sooner have a team of Mark Littles than a team of Adam Matthews.

Not my favourite but praise where praise is due, I thought he played well today.

Certainly a better performance from what we'd seen previously for sure. Got caught out a couple of times but his surge into the box won us that dodgy penalty and seeing him so far up the pitch was a big surprise to me.........:shocking:

Obviously Junior wanted Smith in midfield so who else at RB?

I'm waiting to have both knee's replaced so know where you are coming from. I would love a decent nights sleep as well.
