what do people see in friendlies? Doesnt it dilute the excitement of the first game and who do people want first up? Sound Like Fulham away on Sat 5th is a favourite from the OTIB ers? Mine would be Hull at home with a full house and then Bham, Wolves or Villa away the following Saturday. We also have an EFL cup on the Tuesday/Wed that follows; imagine Sunderland away in the league then some godforsaken place away on a Wednesday night.

Oh, and for those planning Christmas already, there could be 6 games in 17 days from Dec 15th to Jan 1st for EPL clubs so June 21st will reveal all for the Reds games. Anyway that could sort out Christmas presents?!

EFL cup is regionalised first round. So forest green away please

We have had some blinding trips to Torquay, even used to stay there when we played Plymouth. If this is a weekend it would be brilliant.
Still have some very dodgy 'drunken lads in grass skirt' photos

Friendlies help teams ensure their tactics & formation are right and ensures players are match fit. Dunno if it still is, but it used to be a League requirement that every team plays "a minimum of three preseason public practice matches". Clubs used to play away at a lower team, then home to one from a higher division. City would go to say Exeter and then host Chelsea. The home team would get to test their players against better opposition than they could expect in the League. Home fans got to see in the flesh players who were normally only seen on TV.
